The Weavers and Spinners
Society of Austin (WSSA) meets at 7:15 p.m. on the second Thursday of
each month. (No meeting in August.) A voluntary "show and tell"
by members of selected current projects is followed by a brief discussion
of new and old business, then a program is presented by a member or guest
speaker. On the fourth Thursday, members gather to weave, spin, knit,
or work on other fiber-related projects. It is a perfect venue for beginners
to gather tips and techniques from more Meetings are held in the Austin Recreation Center building, 1301 Shoal Creek, Austin, Texas. Membership is $15 per year for active membership, $7.50 for students or newsletter-only for out of town members. The year begins January 1. Visitors are always welcome. We invite you to join us.
